Connecting your SOLVIS Heat Pump
In just a few steps, you can connect your SOLVIS heat pump within the App to automatically monitor and control its energy consumption based on your solar surplus or dynamic electricity tariffs.
Prerequisites: To set up the integration, you simply need your registered email address and password from the official Solvis Portal. Please also ensure your SolvisControl software version is MA 3.24 or higher.
Onboarding Steps in the Dashboard
Follow these steps to link your system:
- Navigate to the menu and click on "Wärmepumpe" (Heat Pump).
- Select SOLVIS from the manufacturer dropdown list.
- Check the box to grant your consent to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Enter your SolvisPortal login credentials (Email & Password) and click the Login / Connect button.
- Once logged in, select your specific heat pump from the list to complete the activation. Your device is now ready for smart control!
How the App Controls & Displays Your Data
- Displayed Temperature: We display the upper storage tank temperature S1, which is used for domestic hot water preparation via the fresh water station.
- Displayed Power: The dashboard shows the current electrical power consumption of your SOLVIS heat pump in Watts. You can use this live value to verify if your nominal power settings match the actual consumption.
- Control Mode: When solar surplus is available, the App switches your heat pump into "Maximaler Betrieb" (Maximum Operation). This turns your thermal storage tank into an optimal energy storage unit.
Required Settings on your SolvisControl Unit
To define how long and under what conditions the heat pump should run during solar surplus, configure the following parameters directly on your physical SolvisControl unit:
| Parameter | Description | Recommended Value |
|---|---|---|
| Speicherladetemperatur | Target temperature during maximum operation. | e.g., 55 °C |
| Einschalthäufigkeit | Switching hysteresis for max. operation. A larger hysteresis effectively prevents rapid short-cycling of the compressor. | e.g., 5 K |
| Laufzeitverlängerung | When using the Smart Grid Hydraulic Set, the Smart Grid cut-off sensor can be selected by your installer: S4 / S9 / S3 (SolvisMax only). | Set by installer |
| Grenztemperatur max. Betrieb | Minimum outdoor temperature required to start surplus operation. If your building's space heating is insufficient during SmartGrid operation, increase this temperature setting. | e.g., -8 °C |
Optimizing App Settings
1. Nominal Power (Nennleistung)
This value optimizes the switch-on condition in Smart-Modus Solar. To completely avoid grid consumption while operating the heat pump, we recommend setting the nominal power to 3,000 W to 4,000 W. For smaller PV systems, it can be beneficial to set a lower nominal power and match it precisely with the actual live power consumption of your heat pump.
2. Using Dynamic Electricity Tariffs
If you use dynamic electricity tariffs, you can input your calculation formula directly into the App. Enter your monthly base price (Grundpreis) and the additional fees/taxes per kWh that are added onto the stock market spot price (including grid fees and taxes). The App automatically retrieves the live exchange electricity prices for you. You can also specify predefined time windows for cheap electricity or grid utilization under Profile - Stromtarife.
